Flamboyant Lagerfeld chanel woc style
trendsNot content to flop back and count the cash flowing in the till from
lucrative licensing agreements with the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation (which
currently spins out high-end product for eight brands which include bridal and
denim lines, pricey fragrances, and luxurious furs) top-dog designer Karl
Lagerfeld recently pacted an exclusive distribution partnership deal with Optic
2000.Smart move, Karl!Optic is France's largest optician chain flourishing on
his home turf.Just recently the stylish designer specs were shipped out to 1150
of Optic's prime upscale retail outlets. The eye-catching line boasts
twenty-three pairs of sunglasses, in addition to twenty-five optical frames,
which were crafted in close collaboration with Christian Roth and chanel woc
Eric Domege.Metallic ring features were inspired by Mr. Lagerfeld's
finger-jewellery obsession.Film border motifs also echo the celebrated
designer's passion for photography. For the style conscious a
must-have!Moi?Because of my scatter-brained tendency to lose chic expensive
shades at the drop of a hat, I tend to snap up an expendable pair or two at the
99 cent store during the lazy days of summer. After all, I'm fashion-conscious
enough to dread the thought of being spied among my adoring fans with any pair –
stylish or not – affixed to a tawdry string around my neck!
Audrey Tatou as Coco chanel woc The
first picture of Audrey Tatou as Coco Chanel has been released this week, and
has quickly confirmed all suspicions that the movie is set to be the most
stylish of 2009.Coco Avant Chanel will be released next year, and is currently
being filmed in Paris and Normandy. It is loosely based on Edmonde
Charles-Roux's biography of Chanel, entitled L'irreguliere.A must-see for
fashion fans, the biopic stars the Amélie actress as Coco in the early years of
her career, and will culminate with a fashion show, containing classic chanel woc
pieces. Here Tatou is seen in a Stephen Jones hat, one of the many stylish pieces
sure to be on show. The costumes are beng designed by Catherine Leterrier, who
desribed the film's look to The Independent this week.‘The period we are
recreating is that of Coco before she was Chanel,' she said. ‘She was poor, but
she had her own style. I wanted to show how she was different from the ladies of
her time.'She added, ‘Audrey Tautou is amazing in that part, she is so
Chanel.'Saying she didn't hesitate ‘a single second' on taking the part, Tatou
added in a statement, ‘Any woman who wants to invent a destiny for herself can
identify with the early years of Coco chanel woc, a
young uneducated woman who dreams of entering the world while exacerbating her
differences and ignoring everything of the extraordinary destiny awaiting
her.'
